People might not be happy with what's been happening all year, but at least Star Wars fans now have something to look forward to. Disney and Lucasfilm have confirmed that The Mandalorian Season 2 will premiere later this year and the release date has finally been revealed. But when will the first trailer for the second season actually be dropped? There has been speculation that the teaser for the show will be dropped this weekend.

There is little doubt that The Mandalorian Season 2 is currently the most highly anticipated shows on Disney+. After all, fans were assured that the second season of the Star Wars series would not be delayed since it was almost done by the time that the COVID-19 shutdowns became effective. However, Disney and Lucasfilm have both been very secretive about the second chapter of Din Djarin's story, choosing not to share any updates about the show. Luckily, things have changed with a new teaser photo.

The official Star Wars Instagram account has shared the new logo for The Mandalorian Season 2 along with some good news. "This is the day. New episodes start streaming Oct. 30 on #DisneyPlus," the caption read. The hashtag #TheMandalorian was also added to the post.

Fans were understandably delighted with the update. For one, the new logo now features Din Djarin with Baby Yoda. The original logo only showed the bounty hunter, and the updated logo confirms that the Child will continue to play a major role in the series. But when can people expect to see the first trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2?

There had been speculation that the first teaser for The Mandalorian Season 2 would drop in August. Unfortunately, this did not happen last month, but fans believe that they will not need to wait too long for the trailer. It is believed that the first footage from the second season will drop this weekend or in time for Labor Day. Just be advised that this has not yet been confirmed by Disney and Lucasfilm so it is best to take it with a grain of salt.

The Mandalorian Season 2 will bring back Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon. Rosario Dawson will be joining the cast and it is believed that she will portray the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano. The second season of the Star Wars series will premiere on Disney+ on October 30.
