Prince William and Kate Middleton stayed at their third royal residence with their children, George, Charlotte and Louis, when they visited Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip in Balmoral over the weekend. This house is their smallest property compared to Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall, and it's called the Tam-Na-Ghar.

According to Hello, the three-bedroom cottage was a gift from the Queen Mother to Prince William before she died in 2002. Tam-Na-Ghar is located close to Birkhall, Prince Charles' Scotland house in the Balmoral estate.

While studying at St Andrew's University, Prince William and Kate, apparently, often stayed at Tam-Na-Ghar. It goes without saying that the couple had many wonderful memories in this house during their dating years.

When they got married and had kids, Prince William and Kate stayed at this cottage for their summers in Balmoral. Apparently, the property is so private that there are actually not too many photos or information about the house for public consumption.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate are leaving their second home, Anmer Hall, this weekend after almost six months of stay during the coronavirus lockdown. According to reports, the Cambridge family is returning to their official residence in London -- Kensington Palace.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have to start school this fall so they need to move back home to their four-storey apartment in Kensington since it's near the kids' school. There will be no more homeschooling for the children during this new school term.

Anmer Hall was a gift from Queen Elizabeth after Prince William married Kate. The Georgian country home in Norfolk originally belonged to the Coldham family but Queen Victoria bought the property in the mid-1800s.

The Duke and Duchess of Kent, the Queen's cousins, lived in Anmer Hall before they moved to Oxfordshire in the late 1990s. The house was then rented out until the Queen decided Prince William and Kate may have the house as her wedding gift.

Kensington Palace, on the other hand, has been in the British royal family for centuries. Prince William and Kate stay at Apartment 1A, which used to be the main house of Princess Margaret.

Other members of the family also live in the property, such as Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and all of the Queen's cousins. For a short time, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, also, lived in Kensington Palace, in a cottage that's a few steps away from the Cambridges.
