The first set of 5G smartphones from Google Pixel would reportedly arrive earlier than anticipated. It was earlier announced that the Google Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5 would officially sometime this Fall. Ahead of the smartphones' launch, a new listing may have given away some information that the search engine would like to hide from the public for now.
The latest information about the Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 comes from Vodafone Germany. Someone managed to take a picture of the internal database of the British telecom company. Based on the listing, the search engine giant intends to launch the upcoming smartphones on September 25, but it would not be launching the Pixel 5 XL at the said event.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5, available only in Black color, would debut this month. For now, that is the only available color for the said devices despite earlier rumors that they might be offered in a couple of color options. Thanks to YouTuber Techcheck, the Google Pixel 5 would retail at €630, including 16% VAT in Germany.
The Google Pixel 5 is rumored to house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. It sounds a little bit steep if Google intends to sell it at the rumored price. The Google Pixel 4 retails at €730 and now on sale at €530, housing an 8-series Qualcomm Snapdragon. Meanwhile, the YouTuber also shared that the Google Pixel 4a 5G would retail at €487, which is around €150 more than the price of the Pixel 4a.
Earlier rumors revealed that the Google Pixel 5 would run on 8 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage. It would pack a 3800 or 4000 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 4a 5G would reportedly share some resemblances with the Pixel 4a. However, aside from 5G connectivity support, the upcoming device would reportedly house the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip.
The Pixel 4a 5G would reportedly feature the same 128 Gb memory like the Pixel 5. Both the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a 5G are anticipated to sport screens from BOE and Samsung Display. More images surfaced online relate to the upcoming smartphones, including a 360-degree video render. Last week, both devices were spotted at the FCC and obtained their respective certifications.
This could mean that the launch of the Google Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a 5G is imminent. However, it is important to note that the leaked Vodafone Germany listing is unconfirmed and unofficial. In this case, take this information with a grain of salt.
