Apple confirms its "Time Flies" event on September 15 with Apple Watch Series 6 and the rumored iPad Air 4 taking center stage.

With invites containing the tagline "Time Flies" already sent out, all is set for Apple's big event on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The Cupertino-based company hosts every September one of the biggest events of the year, where it announces new products and technologies. However, contrary to what many speculated a few weeks ago, there will be no new iPhones during the event. Instead, the focus will be on the Apple Watch Series 6 and the whispered release of iPad Air 4.

Apple said that the event this year is a bit different because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Unlike previous events attended by thousands of people, this year's event will be mostly online. Insiders say announcements will focus on Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad Air 4, though the company is also expected to provide more details on various other technologies, updates, or enhancements such as the iOS 14 stable release, new App Store guidelines, and bundled subscription services.

Aside from making teasers on Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad Air 4, Apple also announced it recently made some modifications to its App Store review guidelines. The company did not say whether the move came as a result of the continuing legal saga between Apple and Epic Games. However, the company hinted that the new guidelines have something to do about formalizing the game streaming services requirements, which include individually submitting each game to the App Store.

Another revelation that Apple fans anticipate, other than expected announcements about the Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad Air 4, is its statement on the supposed offering of bundled subscription services. Dubbed as "Apple One," the bundled services reportedly are available in several tiers, each consisting of different offerings like the basic package, which includes Apple TV+ and Apple Music, and the next tier comprised of the first two services plus the Apple Arcade. The company reportedly has registered multiple "Apple One" domain names in preparation for the launch of these bundled services.

As rumored, the event's major focus will be on the Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad Air 4. Apple fans say you only have to look at the tagline "Time Flies" to get a sense that Apple is set to launch its latest smartwatch on Tuesday. There were also talks that the company is set to release an affordable version of the popular smartwatch, which insiders say may help compete directly with its cheaper counterparts.

Along with the expected release of Apple Watch Series 6 models, it is also whispered by insiders that Apple registered 7 iPad models with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the regulatory body of the Eurasian Economic Union, and at least one of these models may find its way into the September 15 event. It is also rumored that the new iPad Air 4 will look similar to the iPad Pro because of its slim bezels and also will no longer have a home button.

While announcements may focus on Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad Air 4, observers also expect Apple to explain some features of its new iOS 14, the final beta update of the OS. During the event, the company is also expected to release some updates about tvOS 14, watchOS 7, and iPadOS 14.
