Kate Middleton is the future Queen Consort, and she had been preparing for that role for years. Despite her hectic schedule, the Duchess of Cambridge always makes sure to be a hands-on parent to her three young children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Despite their status and future roles in the monarchy, Kate Middleton and Prince William treat their children as regular kids. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge don’t expect them to be prim and proper all the time, and they let them be who they are.

But, just because Kate Middleton and Prince William don’t set strict rules to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, that does not mean that they allow them to be unruly. The couple does correct their children’s mistakes, but they just have a different way of doing it.

Kate Middleton, in particular, has a clever way to put things in order with her children. So, when Prince George was being a little rowdy at Pippa's wedding, the Duchess of Cambridge had to settle him down. Instead of getting mad at him, Kate pat Prince George’s head, which an expert described as a good way to discipline children in public.

"She seems to be good at making warm contact ‘touch to the head’ which is a nice connection,” Dr. Rebecca Chicot, founder of Essential Parent, said.

This is not the first time Kate Middleton was praised for her “warm” parenting skill. Sue Atkins, the author of Parenting Made Easy – How to Raise Happy Children and Raising Happy Children for Dummies previously said that the Duchess of Cambridge is always present in her children’s lives.

Sue Atkins shared that Kate Middleton guides Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis in the right direction as she watches from the sidelines. She added that Kate acts like a “lighthouse” to her children.

Kate Middleton has always encouraged Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to have fun and play outside. But, when they do have activities inside the house, the Duchess of Cambridge doesn’t mind if they make a mess.

Kate Middleton and Prince William also introduced the “chat sofa.” Here, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will talk to their kids and ask what is upsetting them. The couple wants to understand their children’s needs to resolve the issue through an open discussion.
