Share Tweet menu with direct message (DM) suggestions are among the new features in the Twitter app update for iOS 14.
Twitter recently updated its app for iOS 14 and introduced the new Share Tweet menu feature with DM suggestions. Since August, the microblogging platform has worked with a small group of users in testing the new Share Tweet menu feature. Recently, it announced that the redesigned menu is now available for all Twitter users on iOS 14.
The recently updated Twitter app for iOS 14 with its new Share Tweet menu feature provides users easy access to their recent Twitter contacts. It also gives users an easy way to access apps like Mail, Messages, and WhatsApp.
The new Share Tweet menu feature replaced the native iOS Share Sheet, which displays all the other apps you installed on your device with the share option enabled. Twitter said you can still gain access to your native iOS Share Sheet within the updated Twitter app for iOS 14, although it now requires you to access the new Share Tweet menu first and then tapping the "Share via" menu option. Recently, some users gave out information that long pressing the share button on the Twitter app to gain access to the native iOS Share Sheet is still possible.

The new feature also allows you to share Tweets even faster. With the Share Tweet menu on the updated Twitter app for iOS 14, you can tap the share icon on a particular Tweet and your top apps will appear on the "Share Tweet" menu for easier access.
Aside from giving you shortcuts to some popular messaging apps, the new Share Tweet menu feature of the updated Twitter app for iOS 14 also displays users you interacted with recently through Twitter's Direct Message (DM). This means sharing tweets with a contact, friend, or anyone else is easier.
There are some downsides, however, to the new Share Tweet menu function of the new Twitter app for iOS 14. Apps that use their own sharing protocols may not have the same functionalities as the native iOS Share Sheet. These include contact recommendations from other apps and reorganizing available options.
To use the new Share Tweet menu feature, you need to ensure you have the updated Twitter app for iOS 14 installed on your iPhone or iPad. Obviously, your iDevice needs to run iOS 14, which you can easily download and install using the device's update function. The new Twitter app is also available for Mac users. If you do not have the updated Twitter app yet, go to the App Store and download it for free.
