Respawn Entertainment, the gaming studio behind the successful title "Apex Legends," has allegedly started the development of the heavily rumored game "Titanfall 3," according to an insider.

"Titanfall 3" is in active development at Respawn, says reputable "Apex Legends" dataminers. This new set of information about the rumored title came from TheNeon_Beast, who earned his reputation in the industry by sharing details about "Apex Legends." While the tweet has already been deleted, the insider shared that "Titanfall 3" is for real and even with various sources, the rumor stays the same.

The insider's claim was backed by another "Apex Legends" data miner and leaker Biast12. The tipster's support seemingly confirmed the rumors that the game is indeed in development. Unfortunately, both tweets are now deleted.

While these claims may sound encouraging especially to "Titanfall 3" hopefulls, these are rumors without any official and definitive grounding from teh gaming studio. At the moment, Respawn is silent on its plans about the "Titanfall" series. Interestingly, Respawn Co-Founder Vince Zampella earlier indicated that he is interested in revitalization of the franchise.

The co-founder's statement may sound promising but in the absence of official confirmation, it is safer to assume that "Titanfall 3" is still a few years away from happening. "Apex Legends" has been very successful in the industry and business-wise, Respawn could take advantage of the game's success by not releasing a new title that could steal its players.

Respawn Entertainment has long denied that "Titanfall 3" is in the works. Whispers online believed that the thrid installment in the popular franchise became "Apex Legends" at the height of the battle royale craze in the gaming industry. A "Titanfall" sequel has never been officially off, EA, the franchise publisher, earlier admitting that one could happen down the road if ever the opportunity presented itself.

If "Titanfall 3" is indeed real, it does not necessarily mean that it could arrive very soon. It is obvious that Respawn Entertainment is focused on "Apex Legends" considering the current work from home setup slowing down the devs. The gaming studio would definitely start teasing about "Titanfall 3" soon if it is indeed int he works.

Meanwhile, a lot of things are happening now in "Apex Legends." The game's Season 7 is coming and Pathfinder is scheduled to be buffed once more. "Apex Legends" is also expecting to receive a massive crossplay update in the future.

"Titanfall 2" is currently available on Xbox 360, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
