Google may have launched Pixel 5 in a virtual event but US customers may have to wait until October 29.

The newest phones from Google, the 5G-enabled Pixel 4a and 5 have arrived, bringing lots of features that many customers are waiting for. The problem is you may need to wait for a little while before you could get your hands on the new phones. According to Google, Google 5 will ship to the US on October 29.

Google did not provide any reason for the delay, just the announcement that some regions may get Pixel 5 earlier compared to other areas. As for US customers, they have to wait until Google Pixel 5 arrives on the announced date of Google which is October 29.

While the technology giant may have pushed the release date of Google Pixel 5 in the US to October 29, they held a virtual event today where the company launched the two new 5G-enabled phones of Google, the Pixel 4a and the 5. Rumors about the detailed specs of Google Pixel 5 flew around weeks ahead of its launch and like what the leaks said earlier, Pixel 5 did have a 6-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Google also said the cameras on its new Pixel 5 can take clearer and realistic photos with its HDR+ and Night Sight. The many features of Google Pixel 5, which is the new flagship phone of the company, are enough to excite US customers that some of them are even saying they cannot wait until October 29.

Some blog and social media posts about Google Pixel 5, and even during the Google virtual launch event, that the new phone will be available beginning October 15, or around two weeks from today. That may be true but not for all regions as Google already announced that US customers will get their hands on the flagship phone on October 29. This was confirmed in the blog post of Google for the Pixel 4a, 5G, and Pixel 5, where the company outlined the timeline of the phones' releases and in what region.

The search engine giant and technology heavyweight stated in its blog post that Pixel 4a (5G) is set for launch in Japan on October 15. It will also be available in eight other countries beginning in November. On the other hand, Google Pixel 5 will be available in eight countries beginning October 15, while US customers would have to wait until October 29.

This announcement means that Google Pixel 5 will not see a release date until October 29, which is almost a month from now and two weeks after the handsets become available in other countries, which include the UK. As regards the 4a 5G, while its scheduled launch in Japan is on October 15, US customers and in other regions would have to wait until November to get their hands on the phone.
