The iPhone 12 Mini is the smallest iPhone that Apple produced in many years. It has a screen size of only 5.4 inches with a body size smaller than any iPhone since the original iPhone SE. Perhaps the most visible among the four features you may lose if you opt for the new iPhone 12 Mini is its display. Aside from the small screen size, it will not have the 120Hz ProMotion display tech which is rumored to be on other models of the iPhone 12 lineup. The display of the iPhone 12 Mini reportedly features a flexible OLED display with Y-OCTA integrated touch, which is better compared to an LCD. However, it is way behind with the display on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max which, according to reports, feature a 10-bit color for richer color gradation varieties and XDR classification. It also features more vibrant and true-to-life colors.
Another of the four features that you may lose when you get an iPhone 12 Mini is the LiDAR Scanner which is rumored to be on the iPhone 12 Pro models. The LiDAR Scanner helps you to quickly map the surrounding environment at the photon level in nanosecond speeds. Rumors also indicate that while the new iPhone 12 Mini has a two-camera array, it does not have the telephoto lens that is present on higher-end iPhone Pro models.

As the smallest smartphone in the current lineup, the iPhone 12 Mini may also feature the smallest battery. Rumors say that its battery capacity is at 2,227mAh as compared to the current smallest iPhone, the iPhone 11 Pro which has a battery capacity of 3,046mAh. This is another of the features that you need to prepare to lose when getting on the iPhone 12 Mini. While its Bionic processor and OLED displays can help improve energy efficiency, its small battery size may translate to smaller battery life.
