Expect the Golden State Warriors to shoot for the NBA title next season and to achieve that goal, the team must do some beefing up as the competition in the Western Conference is increasing by the season. Coach Steve Kerr could use a power forward upgrade in the offseason and why not consider Myles Turner.

If reports are correct, the Indiana Pacers star is on the market during the season break and he likely will welcome a taste of basketball in the Bay Area. The big man is known for his versatility and should be a great addition to the Dubs' core talents of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Marcus Thompson of The Athletic reported that Turner is unhappy with Indiana and the team could use the offseason to make some changes, which should be an opportunity for Kerr to have a closer look at the Pacers star.

Citing the same report, Golden State of Mind said Turner could turn out as the best acquisition in the upcoming open market for the Warriors. But of course, the team will need to package an attractive offer to convince Indiana to start talking business.

Andrew Wiggins should be involved in the proposal or if the asset will prove not tempting enough, the Pacers will likely listen more closely if the Warriors' No. 2 pick in the draft will be used as a starter as well.

Such tact is in line with the reports that Kerr is bent on using the pick he won during the lottery as a trade asset. His eyes are set on luring a veteran star to the Warriors roster and there is little doubt that Turner is a solid bet. For one, the Pacers man is only 24, which indicates that he is a long-term investment.

NBA analyst Jonathan Wasserman said Kerr is not too excited about what the draft can deliver so his option is likely to get the best what the trade market can offer. If Turner could be bagged, he certainly will contribute to the Warriors' cause and one main duty for him is to guard the rim.

Fadeaway World said having Turner around is a huge plus for the title-seeking Warriors. He averaged over 12 points and 6.6 rebounds in the season plus no fewer than two blocks per game. The Pacers star is seen as a perfect fit for the Splash Brothers who can snipe from the perimeter with deadly accuracy.

And the same report noted, Turner is a required upgrade for the Warriors that will need to contend with strong rivals in the west such as the Los Angeles clubs - the Lakers and Clippers - and the hard-to-dispose Denver Nuggets.
