The Miami Heat surprise and impressed this season. While the team is not favored to win the NBA title against the Los Angeles Lakers, they will be a contender to watch for. It's a given that the organization will want to score a superstar in the offseason, and it's only a question of who will it be.

Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra will be hard at work when the season ends. For the Heat, the first order of business is to find the missing piece that will complete the new Miami superteam. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo can use another big star for the upcoming campaign and according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, attracting stars should not be hard for the Heat.

"Front office executives around the league believe the Heat have become the league's top destination for the next star with a wandering eye," Fadeaway World reported O'Connor as saying.

Who will be Riley's next big acquisition remains a big question but one thing is sure, Miami has the assets to seal the deal on the targeted players. The existing roster is bursting with young players that could easily convince prospective trade partners to discuss business. And Riley can dangle his first-round picks with choices spanning from 2025 through 2027.

Where Heat will look for that big signing is not an issue at all. As O'Connor noted, there is no shortage of NBA teams that will want to make changes in the offseason and one of them might just be interested to see what Riley has to offer.

The Philadelphia 76ers, for instance, are seen to undergo an overhaul under new head coach Doc Rivers and Joel Embiid or Ben Simmons could be made available. Also, the Houston Rockets are likely to implement adjustments and there's a chance any of James Harden or Russell Westbrook will be open for business.

The Heat can also aim to lure Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks as speculations are rife the reigning MVP might just ask to be traded. Years of frustration to play in the NBA Finals could prod the Greek Freak to look elsewhere to achieve his goal, and if that is the case, it's the opportune time for Riley to swoop in.

The bottom line for Miami is the team has tons to offer to complete a giant deal that could change the landscape of the league next season. On this, Spoelstra will need to ascertain what exactly he needs to do better.

According to Fansided, Miami's search for a star could lead to the signing of a scorer or a playmaker. The precise move that the team will do is not yet known but it's safe to assume that the incoming star has to be someone to complement the things that Butler and Adebayo are already doing for the Heat.
