The Day I Became a God has started airing and so its official website revealed how many episodes it will have. It also shows how many volumes its Blu-ray Discs and DVD home video will have, along with its release dates.
The Day I Became a God is the third collaboration project of Key, Aniplex, and P.A. Works. It is set to have 12 episodes, and its Episode 1 started airing on Sunday, October 11.
It will have six volumes of Blu-ray Disc and DVD home video releases in Japan that will begin to ship out on December 23, January 27, February 24, March 24, April 28, and May 26, per Anime News Network. The new anime series is now streaming on FUNimation.
The Day I Became a God tells the story of Yōta Narukami's last summer high school vacation. A girl named Hina will then suddenly appear and introduce herself as the All-Knowing God. Hina then tells Yōta the "world will end in 30 days" that will confuse the latter.
However, Yōta is about to witness Hina's god-like powers that will convince him she is real. Despite her innocent look, Hina proves she is indeed the All-Knowing God by predicting that will happen in the near future.
Everything she says is right, making Yōta believe her more. Not caring about what will happen to the world, Hina then decides to live at Yōta's home for some reason.
She shows her childish demeanor and although Yōta seems to be dismayed, there's nothing that he can do. Here, an eventful summer before the world ends is about to begin.
The Cinema Holic added The Day I Became a God highlights the day-to-day life of Yōta. After he meets Hina, his life will dramatically change.
His peaceful summer will become annoying, although he cannot deny it will be memorable. If the world indeed ends, it may also be the last summer of his life,
Fans who are fond of fantasy anime series will surely love this new anime series. Otaku Mode noted the Day I Became a God dropped its official cast members after revealing its second key visual.
Here, it confirmed Shigematsu Chiharu was part of the new anime series as Suzuki Hideto. Terui Haruka also joined the show as Jinguji Hikari, Shimamura Yu as Tengan Kako, Inoue Kikuko as the CEO, Matsuda Kenichirou as Oguma Raita. Also, Yuzuki Ryouka was part of The Day I Became a God as Narukami Tokiko, along with Shingaki Tarusuke as Narukami Daichi.
