A few hours before the "Hi, Speed" event, iPhone 12 and Apple TV icons appear on the iCloud website giving hints on what to expect.

As the hour to Apple's "Hi, Speed" event draw near, observers noticed several new icons appear on the iCloud website which seems to give hints on what to expect. The small icons include four iPhones, perhaps to signify the new iPhone 12 family, and later on, an Apple TV icon was added. The icons are not extremely detailed and they appear in very small sizes on iCloud web apps, as well as on the Find My app.

The Twitter account, @AppleSWUpdates, first noticed the images, which include the four iPhone 12 icons, on Twitter. Observers say that an Apple TV icon was later added on Apple's iCloud website. News outlet 9to5Mac, on the other hand, was able to adjust the quality of the assets.

According to the Twitter post, which many Apple observers corroborate, the four new iPhone icons were only added to the iCloud website only recently, suggesting the strong probability that Apple will introduce four new iPhones, comprising the iPhone 12 family. Later on, Apple fans noticed the addition of an Apple TV icon on the same website, hinting that a new Apple TV may also be launched as well along with the new iPhones.

While the icons are not high-resolution images, you will immediately notice some differences in the icons as compared to those which used to illustrate past iPhone models. In the case of the Apple TV, nothing much changed as to its design, indicating that the change is within and not outside. In the case of the four iPhone icons, which many consider as the members of the iPhone 12 family, you will see that their edges are different when compared to past models like the iPhone XR and iPhone 11.

The four new iPhone icons appear to have flat edges, which highly correspond to the rumor about the flat edge of the new iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the iPhone 12 mini. One of the icons, perhaps the iPhone 12 mini, features a smaller notch when compared to other icons beside it. It is not immediately noticeable but upon close examination, you will see that the notch on one icon is slightly smaller in width, though a bit taller in height. In the case of the Apple TV icon which was later added to the group, it is identified as the "AppleTV11,1," something which 9to5Mac recalls as being referred to early this year in an iOS 14 leak.

Some say Apple may have put the icons there as placeholders to conceal the official icons until the start of the "Hi, Speed" event which is due to start anytime from now. The four iPhone icons are identified as "iPhone13,x," which strongly suggest that they are indeed the iPhone 12 family since past models like the iPhone 11 is known within Apple circles as "iPhone12,x." As for the Apple TV icon, current models are internally called "AppleTV6,1. The new Apple TV icon is similar to past Apple TV icons, suggesting that the new device has the same design, though rumors say that it is now using faster A12 and A14 Bionic chips.
