BTS recently gave a speech at the 75th UN General Assembly. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook made their message very personal by sharing their own experiences with everyone.

J-Hope is very expressive with his emotions through actions and words. The BTS star wears his heart on his sleeve and has no problem showing what he truly feels.

But J-Hope is more on the spontaneous side. It’s easy for the “Ego” rapper to share his feelings on the spot, but has troubles when he has to stick to a script, even if he’s the one who wrote it.

BANGTANTV uploaded a behind-the-scenes of BTS’s UN General Assembly speech. The first one who delivered the message was J-Hope. Knowing how important the moment was, the 26-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer couldn’t help but be nervous.

Despite admitting how nervous he was, J-Hope was doing great with his delivery. But midway through, the BTS star got tongue-tied and had to do the whole thing all over again. “What’s with my pronunciation?” he said while standing up to redo his entrance.

The staff told J-Hope that he could take his time and not to worry too much. But the “Chicken Noodle Soup” hitmaker was still feeling the pressure and said, “What’s wrong with me? I’m nervous.”

J-Hope began recording again and stumbled into the same issue. He pointed out that his pronunciation was bad. Even though the BTS star was smiling, it was clear that he wasn’t happy with his performance. He knows that time is gold in the industry, so he wanted to give them his best shot as quickly as possible, but he felt like he failed.

So, when the staff told him that he could do another retake, J-Hope looked relieved and quickly got up to start again. Finally, he delivered his speech just the way he wanted it.

Just like most of the BTS members, J-Hope is a perfectionist. Since he knows how tough it is to be one, he knew what Jungkook was feeling during their LOVE YOURSELF world tour in Singapore in January 2019.

Break The Silence revealed that Jungkook was crying because he felt that he didn’t give his best performance at the time. As the group's dance leader, J-Hope gave Jungkook a very important piece of advice, and that is to pace himself.

“When you dance powerfully on stage, it’s really great. The fans see you and notice that. But if it gets too hard, you should be able to control that. That’s also part of being a professional. That’s what I think,” he said.
