It was rumored a few days ago that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti would launch in mid-November, but a new report claims that the company is pushing the graphics card's announcement to undercut the AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards series.

Nvidia was rumored to be preparing the launch the unannounced GeForce RTX 3060 Ti on Nov. 17. Interestingly, EXPreview suggested that there could be a delay in the debut of the mid-range Ampere graphics cards and it is now scheduled to launch on Dec. 2. The first leaked release date of the mid-range graphics cards came from MyDrivers and picked by Videocardz.

The said release date is just a day ahead of the scheduled release of the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800. Neither of the release dates official and confirmed, even the card itself. Nvidia has yet to confirm and announce the existence of the rumored GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

The first instance that the alleged mid-range graphics card was discovered was through retailers' listing on a Chinese eCommerce site. Most recently, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti surfaced within the GPU-Z validation entry at TechPowerUp. The entry revealed that it would feature 4,846 CUDA cores with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.

Based on the specs, the graphics card could deliver a base clock speed of 1410 MHz and a boost speed of 1665 MHz. It is anticipated to deliver an effective Compute Horsepower of 16.2 Teraflops. According to Wccftech, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti could be the AMD Radeon RX 6700 series's main challenger.

The said graphics cards lineup from AMD could reportedly cost around $349 for the RX 6700 and $449 for the RX 6700 XT. Unlike the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, the Radeon RX 6700 series would allegedly feature 10 GB and 12 GB of VRAM, which are far superior to the 8 GB of Nvidia's mainstream card. This would give the AMD graphics cards an edge at 1440p.

A slight delay in the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti release makes a lot of sense for the company. Currently, the GPU maker is working on improving the stock availability of its new graphics cards. MyDrivers reported that, like its sibling RTX 3060, the mid-range graphics card also has limited stocks.

While these details about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti are exciting, it is worth noting that these are not official. In this case, take this with a pinch of salt.
