If you are an Apple News subscriber, you can follow along with its live and curated news coverage, as well as check updated results as they come. The service also lets you in on some of the latest events on the ground as the heated race to reach 270 electors first begins.
So how does it work? When you launch the Apple News app on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad, you will notice the inclusion of a live "Presidential Race" ticker showing the Electoral Vote breakdown as states submit their 2020 US Election Day reports. Tapping on the ticker will display a more comprehensive and detailed breakdown of the bulletin, including which precincts already submitted their report, the popular vote result, and many more.
You can also tap on the map displayed within the Apple News app to check out the 2020 US Election Day data at the county level. Apple revealed that it will be sourcing all its live election results information from the Associated Press. The Cupertino-based tech giant also said that its odds and prediction data will be sourced from FiveThirtyEight. Apple News also curated an interactive electoral map from The Washington Post.
