John Wall has elected to stay mum on his NBA future with speculation ripe that he will be on the move. Despite that in the air, such did not stop the 30-year-old player from helping people in need.

Wall handed out thousands of meals and gifts to families in Washington, D.C. as part of the John Wall Family Foundation initiative recently. The five-time All-Star continues to give back to the community and these efforts have endeared him to the DC community.

Though it is clear that some are anxious to know what lies ahead for Wall. Will he still be around or moving to a new NBA team soon? Some fans could not help ask him during the event. But one thing is clear, they will continue to support and love the top pick of the 2010 Draft even if he ends up playing for another team, TMZ Sports reported.

Wall never responded to the questions of fans. All he did was smile at them. He is keeping things close to his chest, likely opting to reveal his decision at the right time.

Wall’s name entered the NBA trade rumor mill when Russell Westbrook sought a trade from the Houston Rockets. The former Most Valuable Player is unhappy and is not onboard with the Rockets plan for the team. Aside from Westbrook, James Harden is also seeking his release with the Brooklyn Nets mentioned as a possible landing spot.

But Wall’s decision to ask for a trade appears to be a reaction from the comments made by Wizards general manager Tommy Sheppard on “The Lowe Cast.” It was here when he said that they were trying to build around Bradley Beal.

Those comments caught Wall off guard. Wall wants to play for a team that would value him and those comments may have hit a nerve.

Despite that, Sheppard announced that Wall is there to stay. That could hold for now. But somewhere along the way, it makes no sense to keep Wall if he is not happy in Washington. He has three years left in his current deal.

Also worth noting is that Wall is already frustrated with his current predicament. He has not played NBA basketball for roughly 23 months due to injuries. He could be returning this 2020-21 season but the question now is whether that will be with the Wizards or some other NBA team.
