Barack Obama continues to release "truth bombs" these past few weeks. Following the release of his new memoir, A Promise Land, he repeatedly opened up about his personal life as a husband to Michelle Obama and father to Sasha and Malia.
The Daily Express reported about the former U.S. President's "rare" revelations about his two daughters. He shared that the two women have now become "great friends" despite the continued "competition."
Obama described the sisterhood between his daughters as "wonderful." He appears to be pleased that Sasha and Malia now "enjoy each other's company."
But, as sisters, he noted that there are still a few arguments when at home. He referenced the two women's fights over "halter top," and other things they argue about like any ordinary sisters would normally do.
Apart from Barack Obama, Michelle Obama also made a rare confession about Sasha and Malia earlier in September. Us Weekly released a report about the matter, covering the former First Lady's interview with Conan O'Brien.
She said that the two women no longer find it "thrilling" to be with them amid the pandemic crisis. She added that their two daughters got "sick" of them.
The Becoming author countered that she and Barack felt the same. She joked that it was "fine" because they were "sick" of their daughters, as well.
The former First Couple both admitted that they had enjoyed their time all together amid the quarantine period. Michelle and Barack said that they continue to spend quality time with their kids, which gives them "joy."
Later on, reports recalled that Sasha and Malia Obama moved back to their parents' house earlier in March due to the pandemic crisis. While there are a "few breaks" as they do their respective works, they would, reportedly, come all together at night and do different kinds of activities.
Before his revelations about his kids, Barack Obama, also, revealed a few surprising things about his marriage to Michelle Obama. Speaking to People, he shared how his presidency took a toll on their relationship as husband and wife.
He said that the former First Lady initially said "no" to his plans on running for president. While she supported him throughout his tenure inside the White House, the former U.S. President revealed that he always felt his wife's "tension."
In the end, though, Barack Obama stated that, despite all the marital problems they had during his service, they came out of it "whole." He also clarified that things had gotten better in his marriage, adding that Sasha and Malia emerged as "intact," as well.
