BLACKPINK will end the year in epic style. They just dropped the latest teaser for their large scale year-end project.

According to All Kpop, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose released the clip entitled The Invitation which hinted at a journey with BLACKPINK. The video showed an unidentified person packing her bag. It also prominently displayed the YouTube logo and included the delivery date on December 3rd at 11 KST.

This comes as a follow up to BLACKPINK's teaser film entitled BLACKPINK-Around the World, a clip intended to promote the group's last project for the year.

BLACKPINK continues to reach out to fans worldwide despite being ignored by awards shows in Korea.

According to a report by All Kpop, BLACKPINK was snubbed by the 2020 APAN Music Awards when it revealed the top 10 singers who excelled this year. The ranking was based on album sales, digital music scores, fan votes, and judges' screening.

Among the awardees for this year were BTS, GOT7, Kang Daniel, Im Young Woong, IZ*ONE, MONSTA X, NCT 127, SEVENTEEN, The Boyz, and TWICE. BLINKs complained that despite the clear criteria for rankings, BLACKPINK was left out of the Top 10, Hello Kpop reported.

BLACKPINK fans took to social media to trend the hashtags #ApanRobbedBLACKPINK and #APAN_AWARDS_RIGGED to express their displeasure over the results.

Fans complained that BLACKPINK delivered on album sales as THE ALBUM quickly became the biggest selling Kpop girl group album in history, surpassing one million units sold.

Based on Hanteo's sales records, in its first week alone, THE ALBUM already sold 689,000, which was more than the sales of TWICE and IZ*ONE. BLACKPINK also dominated iTunes, Spotify, and local charts for their multiple comebacks this year.

The APAN Awards was not the only show to snub BLACKPINK. The YG-managed group once again came out empty-handed by the time the 2020 Asia Artists Awards concluded.

Fans once again took to Twitter to trend "BLACKPINK DESERVES BETTER" after the group was unfairly treated by Korean award-giving bodies.

2020 was a big year for BLACKPINK. After making only one comeback in 2019, YG Entertainment made it up to BLINKs by staging three major comebacks for BLACKPINK this year.

Kicking off with the pre-release track "How You Like That," BLACKPINK charted five Guinness Records for the number of views that the MV generated.

BLACKPINK's second track, "Ice Cream," was also well received by local and international fans and charted well in international music charts like Billboard and iTunes.

BLACKPINK's first full album entitled THE ALBUM was a smashing success, breaking sales records of Kpop girl groups and posting multiple wins on music shows.

Apart from the success of BLACKPINK's comebacks, they also released collaborations with international artists like Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Cardi B. They also collaborated with Ariana Grande and her producer Tommy Brown for the track "Ice Cream."

BLACKPINK also featured in the first-ever Netflix documentary about Kpop entitled Light Up the Sky.
