Jake Paul is still savoring his big knockout win over Nate Robinson at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. However, not all were impressed and some pointed out that the former NBA star’s athleticism was no match to the boxing experience that the 23-year-old had.

It was Paul’s second boxing win. His first triumph came at the expense of another YouTuber, AnEsonGib, which lasted only a round. One thing that both AnEsonGib and Robinson have in common is that both do not have any boxing experience.

That said, a former boxing champion has called out Paul to an actual boxing match – Antonio Tarver. Though it has been years since he fought in the ring, the 52-year-old wants to see how the YouTuber will fare against someone who has experience in the ring. Tarver called out Paul in an Instagram post.

“I really want to kick [Jake Paul's] a-- for what he did to [Nate Robinson] last night and rid boxing of these clowns once and for all. He fought a complete novice so fighting me shouldn’t be a problem...[Mike Tyson,] make this fight [at] Legends League 2. I’m considering a full comeback after last night," Tarver’s post read.

Robinson lasted two rounds with Paul. However, an overhead right punch that landed on the 36-year-old’s left side of the face knocked him out cold. The former NBA slam dunk champion immediately received medical attention but was able to get up eventually, Boxingscene reported.

As for Tarver, a clash could gauge how far he can go in the sport. Paul said that he is serious about pursuing a boxing career and he has shown some nifty moves in the ring. However, he has yet to face an actual boxer.

For Paul, boxing is a way to prove his hater wrong. He is aware that he is still young and has so far proven that he can thrive in the sport against anyone who dares to face him in the ring.

“A 100%, I’m willing to be patient. I’m only 23 years old. Deontay Wilder started boxing when he was 21. So I have a long future ahead and I’m just getting started. And I talk a lot of s--t, but I backed it up. Actions speak louder than words,” Paul said after knocking out Robinson.

Tarver last fought Steve Cunningham in August 2015. That ended in a draw and the fight was not spared from controversy. Tarver tested positive for a banned substance in his pre-fight urine samples. He has 39 fights to his credit, winning 31 bouts with 22 coming via knockout. Will Paul accept the challenge?
