BLACKPINK received their very own Ruby Button from YouTube for reaching 50 million subscribers. They are the first Korean YouTube channel to achieve the milestone.

According to a report by All Kpop, BLACKPINK surpassed 50 million subscribers last October 5. The first content creator to receive the Ruby Button was PewdiePie when he breached the 50 million subscriber mark in 2016. T-Series reportedly reached the same milestone in 2018.

The Ruby Button is a special award that is different from regular YouTube Play Buttons since they are specially crafted by the streaming platform to commemorate an outstanding achievement.

For BLINKs, it came as no surprise that BLACKPINK would receive the honor since most of the content of their official channel has reached millions of views. BLACKPINK currently has three music videos that surpassed the 1 billion views mark. "DDU DU DDU DU" reached the milestone in November 2019, while "Kill This Love" reached the same number of views last September. "BOOMBAYAH," one of the tracks from their debut album Square One also breached 1 billion views last October.

BLACKPINK's recent comeback songs are also faring well on YouTube. "How You Like That," which was released last June, already has 671 million views. Their collaboration with Selena Gomez for "Ice Cream" now has 421 million views three months after its release. "Lovesick Girls," which was released two months ago, currently has 270 million views.

BLACKPINK is currently gearing for their final salvo of the year with BLACKPINK Around the World online concert. The event caps off an amazing comeback year for Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose.

It can be recalled that this year alone, BLACKPINK staged three comebacks and released their first-ever full album. THE ALBUM went ahead and broke the record for the bestselling album for Kpop girl groups as it managed to sell over one million copies.

Apart from topping music charts worldwide and dominating the music scene, BLACKPINK impressively collaborated with top international acts too. They featured in Lady Gaga's Chromatica album with the dance track "Sour Candy." They also worked together with Ariana Grande and her "Thank U Next" producer Tommy Brown for the track "Ice Cream." Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose performed the song with Selena Gomez.

As part of their full album, they collaborated with American rapper Cardi B. for the song "Bet You Wanna."

After BLACKPINK's final promotions as a group, they will focus on individual projects, according to YG Entertainment, Elite Daily reported.
