A former "PUBG Mobile" director recently shared his insights on the release window of the new version of the game already confirmed coming to India soon.

In a recent report from IndieSport, it revealed that a former director well-versed in the operations of "PUBG Mobile India" shared some of his thoughts about the game, particularly about its release date. According to the report, the source claimed that even the current directors of the game are clueless on the status of the game's relaunch. The former director also mentioned that no one knows when is the game relaunching in the region.

He added that even the directors or promoters are not aware of the details yet. The source also shared that when the Indian government bans something, the resumption of its operation only takes place if the Indian government orders it. Meanwhile, social media influencer Maxtern, tagged Sean Hyunil Sohn in a recent tweet, asking him to leak the release date of "PUBG Mobile India."

Sean Hyunil Sohn is the Head of Corporate Development at Krafton Inc./PUBG Corp. "PUBG Mobile India" is registered in the region under Sohn and Kumar Krishnan Iyer's names. The content creator is possibly frustrated that despite the company's earlier announcement and confirmation about the game, nothing is revealed yet about its release timeline.

And, it looks like it might take some time before fans could get their hands on "PUBG Mobile India." In a report from India Today, it claimed that the Ministry of Electronics and Information technology denied the company the permit to launch the game in the region. Apparently, the government is not convinced of the game's new version despite the changes it made, the report added.

"There is no change in that stance at this stage," says an official as quoted by IndieSport. "Any banned entity can't operate just by floating [a] new company. They will have to get permissions from MEITY to operate once again in India", the official further explained to the publication.

It was in September when the Indian government banned "PUBG Mobile" in the region along with 117 other apps. On Oct. 31, PUBG Corporation shut down the game's servers in India and a few weeks later announced that it would launch "PUBG Mobile India" soon. Since there is no official announcement of the game's release date in the country, fans should temper their expectations and should take release date news with a pinch of salt.
