Lucifer season 5 goes on hiatus after airing its first eight episodes back in August on Netflix. Until now, the official return date remains uncertain. Despite that, fans have been getting clues and updates about what's coming to some of the characters moving forward.

Recently, the official Twitter account of the series shared another character tease in the second half of Lucifer season 5. The post hinted that one of the characters -- with the name comes in six letters -- is going to "learn a thing or two about denial."

It is unlikely referring to Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia), Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt), or Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside). It seems like it isn't also about the titular character's twin brother Michael (also plays by Ellis) or his father, God (Dennis Haysbert).

According to CarterMatt, the character tease might be about Chloe Decker (Lauren German) -- if ever the post is referring to the character's last name. After all, she already went on the "denial stage" after learning about Lucifer's true identity.

Chloe has been the most important person in the titular character's life. The two have been through a lot, and they do love each other. However, the celestial events happening around them tend to separate them most of the time. It's yet to be seen how denial will play a part in the character this time.

In another Twitter post about the second half of Lucifer season 5, the show's official account teased that "******* will get his ********** from ***". The first name might be referring to the titular character, since it comes with seven letters, while the final world could be God.

One of the speculations here is that Lucifer will redeem himself from God. The two have been estranged for a long time, but since the latter shows up at the end of the first half, there could be some sort of reconciliation along the way.

Meanwhile, Lucifer season 5 continues where the midseason finale left off. There is a huge showdown between Lucifer and Michael, and God suddenly shows up. The biggest mystery, however, is that Chloe's partner goes missing shortly after the fight.

In one of the previously-released clips, Chloe walks through the LAPD precinct while asking where Lucifer is. The scene is the continuation of episode 8, with the window glasses shattered on the floor. The series kicks off with this scene once it comes back.

Lucifer season 5 is expected to return in early 2021.
