Jake Paul is collecting a lot of enemies as he continues to challenge anyone who dares to face him in the ring. Though he is targeting mostly men, the name of UFC champion Amanda Nunes cropped up.

This was suggested when he was trying to goal Conor McGregor into a fight. Instead, UFC top brass Dana White suggested the 23-year-old face Nunes. However, that was a blunt suggestion made by White which most felt was not serious. That was until “The Lioness” herself said that she is open to the idea.

If it does push through, it would be a rare inter-gender match. There have been fights done in that manner although seeing a man face a woman in an actual fight of this magnitude will get its share of criticism. Paul and probably White would be blasted for it and some are already giving their take on the fantasy fight.

WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney believes that it is something that is not right. Paul needs to stick fighting men rather than women, even if that female is Nunes who is known to be deadly in the cage, TMZ reported.

"I don't think he should fight a girl," Haney tells us. "I think he's still a man. He gotta fight a man."

It may be worthy to note that Nunes is not the only female who wants to meet Paul in the ring. A former boxer who plans to make the shift to mixed martial arts Claressa Shields wants the YouTuber in the ring, someone she vows to teach a lesson.

"No, it's not fair. Girls should fight girls. Guys should fight guys," Haney added.

As of this writing, White has not mentioned anything about actually pushing a Jake Paul vs. Amanda Nunes fight. The only thing clear is that the 23-year-old got his wish of fighting a mixed martial artist in Ben Askren. “Funky” accepted Paul’s challenge and both will face-off in March 2021.

Askren will come out of retirement but his boxing skills are in doubt. Though he is a deadly fighter inside the cage, it will be interesting if Paul will have an advantage as he continues to work hard and improve his boxing skills.

Aside from that fighting a woman part, Haney is impressed with the dedication and determination he has shown to thrive in boxing.

"That's my boy, so I like that he's doing good... I've been in the gym with him. He's showing that he's dedicated to the sport," Haney said.
