Nearly 15 years have passed since The Devil Wears Prada dropped on big screens. But, since then, the public has continued to repeat some of the most iconic lines and scenes, which mainly involve Meryl Streep.

Cheat Sheet reported that the executives of the material had only one person in mind to play the role of Miranda Priestly. Upon approaching the "greatest living actress," she requested to include two scenes that would make the character more "fleshed-out."

She first suggested getting the "business of fashion scene in the movie." The film materialized this suggestion in the scene wherein Miranda schooled Andy "on the workings of the fashion industry." As fans would recall, this is when Andy wore her cerulean (and not blue) sweater, which she obtained from "the pile of stuff."

Meryl Streep's second request is the addition of a scene where viewers could see Miranda's vulnerability. The Devil Wears Prada included this part at the latter end of the film when Miranda conversed with Andy about her "divorce and makeup." In one of her interviews, the actress explained that she wanted a scene where Miranda "is without her armor," adding that for viewers to "glimpse the woman in the businesswoman."

Meryl Streep won several awards after the release of the said film in 2006. She received another set of Best Actress awards and nominations from various institutions.

The popularity and fame of The Devil Wears Prada remain apparent up to this day. This is why it is not surprising why the media still talks about the film, as well as the cast members.

Nicki Swift recently released a report about Streep and the "item" she kept from the set of the fashion-based movie. While many fans and followers would think that the actress took home one of the sartorial pieces she wore, she instead kept her iconic glasses.

The publication said that the Sophie's Choice star even used the pair again during her stint at her 2008 film, Mamma Mia!, alongside Amanda Seyfried. She wore "Priestly's peepers" during the "Money Money Money" scene.

Meryl Streep added a few scenes to the film for her character. But, the case is different for her co-star, Emily Blunt.

A separate report from Cheat Sheet revealed that the Mary Poppins Returns star chose to borrow a line from a "mean mother" she encountered in real life. In one of her previous interviews, she shared the details of what happened to her in a supermarket amid the time of the shooting.

Blunt stated that it has now become a line that "gets quoted back" to her because of its popularity. She explained that the mean mother yelled at her kid in public, saying "I'm hearing this, and I want to hear this" while opening and closing her hand like a puppet. The actress did it in the film while talking to Anne Hathaway's character.
