Paris Saint-Germain hired a new manager in Mauricio Pochettino and the new man in charge could very well make the PSG squad stronger than ever. However, the leadership change does not necessarily mean that players will stick around and a case in point is Kylian Mbappe, who is rumored to exit as early as next summer.

The French superstar is tied up with the Parisians until 2022 but if he refuses to sign an extension, PSG would be forced to sell the 22-year-old as the alternative is to let him go for free next year. If the prolific goalscorer is to join a new side at season's end, it is likely a toss between Real Madrid and Liverpool, and any of the two will increase Mbappe's chance of club titles and personal honors.

However, if Mbappe has the exclusive say on where he plays next, the easy choice for him would be Liverpool. According to The Sun, the Reds are on the lead to land the World Cup winner and for several reasons.

One strong attraction for Mbappe to the club is the Premier League giants' winning history. The Reds are the dominant club in the past two years and that is true domestically and in Europe. In 2019, Jurgen Klopp's side captured the Champions League title, and a year after they added the Premier League crown.

The Reds have a long tradition of success and it's quite obvious that Mbappe is excited to be part of that narrative.

It is also crystal clear that the PSG forward is an admirer of Klopp. Mbappe was never shy in saying that the German boss made a "winning machine" out of the Reds squad. Per the same report, the young striker seemed convinced that working with Klopp will make him a better footballer.

And it was evident in previous interviews that Mbappe wants a taste of English football. The Premier League is currently considered the best in Europe when it comes to competitiveness, prestige, and popularity. This is a setting that the Frenchman wants to be caught up with.

Now aside from these favorable elements, the Reds are thought to have the resources that will finance a transfer bid on Mbappe. It is expected that signing the superstar will require a colossal amount of money but this could be sourced from Liverpool's shirt sales, according to pundits.

It should be noted that the club's kit is now supplied by Nike and Mbappe has an existing deal with the company, likely making it easier for all parties concerned to come to an agreement for the superstar's transfer.

It is a good thing too that per the report from The Mirror, Mbappe has become more affordable with his market down to £135 million from the possible £234 million asking price just last year. This indicates that a summer transfer bid on Mbappe this year is the perfect time for Liverpool.
