Almost all "Among Us" players want to be an impostor, but one player has found a way on how to make the famed saboteur an overpowered one.
Overpowered Impostor In "Among Us"
On YouTube, content creator named Socks1 shared a video showcasing a mod that turns the impostor into a god-like overpowered saboteur. It creates confusion since players have no idea what to do about it. The impostor has a wide range of abilities that no ordinary impostor would be able to do.
It can shape-shift into any player on the "Among Us" map. The overpowered impostor could also drag bodies, stop time, teleport and become invisible. Players are already having a hard time spotting impostors in normal modes, but making them invisible raises the level of challenge and excitement.
There are many instances where players use mods to make the game more interesting or challenging. While this is not the first time that mods are used in "Among Us," this particular mod is quite unique. The content creator shared another video showcasing the overpowered super impostor.
"Among Us" Glitch
"Among us" players know how difficult it is to deal with an invisible impostor. It can be recalled that in October 2020, several players reported experiencing an insane glitch that enables impostors to become invisible. The exploit was game-breaking and gave the impostor an unfair advantage.
Another content creator shared on YouTube how to use this glitch. A+Start explains on the video that "Among Us" players could activate it in a public lobby. To do this, players need to vent once a body is found or an emergency meeting is called.
If properly executed and timed correctly, players could still see their sprite when the meeting ends. However, none of the other players would be able to see them, making them invisible. The invisibility ends as soon as players kill someone in the game.
New Map
Innersloth, the team behind "Among Us" announced that the game is set to receive a new map in 2021. The Airship map is themed after "Henry Stickman," another game from Innersloth. It is designed after a particular location from that game. In the reveal trailer, fans can even pick up some narration with reference to a Henry Stickman character.
As for the release of the Airshipmap, Innersloth said that it would be in the early part of 2021. Recently, it clarified on Twitter that early 2021 does not mean January 2021.
"Among Us" is now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android devices.
