Apple fans posted some of the desired apps, faces, and widgets, they wanted to see in the upcoming watchOS 8.

The release of the next version of Apple's watchOS is only six months away but until now, there are no whispered talks as regards its new features. Because of this, Apple fans decided to post suggestions about apps, faces, and widgets they desire to see in the upcoming watchOS 8.

They remind those who read their watchOS suggestions that all of their posts about new apps, faces, and widgets are pure conjecture and do not mean they are included in the next watchOS release. Although suggestions made by Apple fans, which ranged from thorough health data metrics to an easy-to-read display, appear doable, it is still up to the Cupertino tech company as to what improvements they will implement with the upcoming watchOS 8.

A Health Device

More than the new apps, faces, and widgets that Apple fans desire, they wish the Cupertino tech giant would include the Health app to the upcoming watchOS 8 to allow Apple Watches to become a more independent and powerful health device. They suggest current apps that measure various health metrics would still exist, though the Health app must collate daily health data so users can see historical health information in one place.

Having the Health app store daily historical health data allows the possibility of displaying the day's health highlights, as well as specific categories and health metrics, on your iPhone. This way, users can look and check important health data that their Apple Watch currently cannot display. Aside from the health app, there are other new faces, apps, and widgets that Apple fans desire to see in the upcoming watchOS 8, such as Widgets in Control Center.

Control Center Widgets

In past watchOS versions, Apple offered a feature called "glances." Apple replaced them later with a single Control Center overlay, which left glanceable info to the watch dock's complications and apps. In the list of new apps, faces, and widgets that Apple fans want to see in the upcoming watchOS 8, Apple fans suggested that Cupertino engineers might want to transform the Control Center into one, non-scrollable page, with a horizontal scrolling function that allows users to roll through various widgets.

Apple fans say that the user interface could resemble the old "glances," but the new widgets should be much faster in reloading and far more powerful in functionality. Apple should also consider adding fun new faces to liven the Apple Watch a bit. Among the funny face suggestions made by Apple fans in their list of new apps, faces, and widgets that the upcoming watchOS 8 should include a smiling Ted Lasso, singing Central Park characters, and Snoopy floating around the watch face.
