The Boys Season 3 may take a while before it hits the small screens. But, the series creator, alongside its producers and writers, recently gave a treat to its fans and viewers.
On Monday, Eric Kripke confirmed on Twitter that the new season will include one of the comic series' "raunchiest" storylines, according to Game Rant. He said that they have already "met" the challenge of including the plot in the overall installment.
Apart from telling this to his followers on the platform, he included a photo of the script cover page, which reads "Episode #306: Herogasm." The picture, also, shows that Jessica Chou, a writer and co-producer, wrote the material.
Entertainment Weekly covered the same report following the series creator's announcement. As explained, Herogasm is one of the miniseries from the comics. Writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson, reportedly, deemed it a big crossover event, much like those other superhero comic books do.
The catch here is that, in Herogasm, Vought superheroes will meet other superheroes on a private island to do a "giant superhero orgy." This is an opportunity for each of them to "blow off some steam."
It remains undisclosed, though, how this will fit in the overall narrative of The Boys Season 3. Nevertheless, fans and followers of the series have already shared their eagerness to witness the upcoming episodes of the show.
In the comment section of Eric Kripke's post, netizens expressed their thoughts about the announcement. Some individuals said that they could no longer wait, while others said that they were not sure what to feel.
Meanwhile, there are avid fans of the series who insinuated that The Boys Season 3 "will end up as the best TV show of 2022." The said post has since received hundreds of likes and replies.
To date, no one knows when The Boys Season 3 will arrive. Despite this, though, series actor Antony Starr recently confirmed that the production will likely start in February, according to CBR. He, however, noted that they do not have the exact dates yet.
Speaking to Comicbook, Starr, also, revealed that he is "chomping at the bit to get back into it." While he is excited, much like the rest of the fans, he explained that the entire production has a "whole new world with COVID," adding that they all have to adhere to several new regulations.
In the end, though, the series star shared that he will soon enough join the cast and crew members in the production site.
