J-Hope’s undeniable talent is not the only thing that ARMYs love about him. The BTS rapper has a very bright and bubbly personality that he earned the title “Sunshine” from the fandom.

Many said that J-Hope’s smile alone could already brighten anyone’s day. Many ARMYs also shared that the 26-year-old rapper, songwriter, dancer, and record producer’s positive vibe had helped them when they were feeling down.

However, J-Hope was not always like this. Suga revealed that the “Ego” rapper had changed a lot from the first time he met him.

In an earlier interview, BTS was asked: “Before BTS was formed, you didn’t know one another. Do you still remember the first impressions you had of everyone?” Suga shared that his most memorable impression was of J-Hope.

The “Daechwita” rapper said that J-Hope was very shy back then. This revelation was extremely shocking because JH is famously known for his very outgoing personality.

But J-hope agreed with Suga and said that he had changed a lot. “My personality then is very different from now,” he said.

Meanwhile, Suga and J-Hope have very different personalities, which is why ARMYs didn’t consider creating a ship for the pair. The K-pop world is filled with ships, which are a harmless pairing made by fans for idols who they think have next-level friendships.

With Suga being an introvert and J-Hope being an extrovert — ARMYs look past their relationship until they announced their duo name “SOPE.” Many eyebrows may have raised at the time, and many may have thought they were trying to be funny. Eventually, the fandom realized how genuine SG and JH’s chemistry is.

Now, even Run BTS! editors are high-key SOPE enthusiasts. Run BTS! is a variety show that became a weekly obsession of ARMYs for years. Aside from RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook’s fun activities in each episode, the editors' captions and comments take everything to a whole new level.

J-Hope’s real name is Jung Hoseok, but he is fondly called Hobi by his members, ARMYs, and staff. In Run BTS! Episode 114, ARMYs went wild after the editors called him one particular name.

When J-Hope was rapping Suga’s part in “Boy With Luv,” Run BTS! editors called him “Min Hobi.” SG’s real name is Min Yoongi.

ARMYs have noticed multiple times that Run BTS! editors are SOPE shippers, but they are still shocked by how bold they are for writing that caption.

“The Run editors hint to Sope so often that I’m actually starting to believe something is going on between them,” one wrote. “This means Sope is married,” another one shared.
