Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost shocked the public upon announcing their private wedding through the Meals on Wheels America charity. In October, amid the pandemic crisis, the couple had an intimate ceremony, alongside their families and loved ones.

But, months prior to the special event, tabloids alleged that the Avengers actress had "cold feet." Star's supposed sources claimed that the celebrity kept her then-fiance "at bay for the time being while she sorted out her feelings." This, reportedly, came after she realized that things could "turn sour quickly" despite entering a happy and love-filled marriage.

The tabloid, also, insisted that Colin Jost felt "exasperated and hurt" over Scarlett Johansson's alleged reluctance. But, despite knowing all about it, she still continued to ponder whether "she was even cut out for marriage."

After covering and revisiting the report, Gossip Cop debunked the narrative and deemed it "very poorly timed." As it happened, the pair had just tied the knot a few months after the allegation came out.

In addition to this, the reputed publication emphasized that the same tabloid has been creating bogus stories about Jost and Johansson throughout their relationship. Hence, it did not come as a surprise anymore when new false claims went public.

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have yet to share the details of their private, intimate wedding last October. Based on Meals on Wheels America's Instagram update, though, the pair "opted for a minimony" to make their marriage official.

The Knot, later on, reported that the pair is just one of the many celebrity couples who "promote charities to announce life stages." Some of these duos include Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who welcomed their first child in August.

Amid all these things, it makes total sense why the Marvel actress and her SNL personality husband seemingly refrains from sharing details about their wedding. As noted, they have always valued the privacy of their relationship.

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost first met in 2006, according to Brides. However, it was not until 2017 when they began their romantic ties.

Some reports claimed that SNL castmate Kate McKinnon was the one responsible for the two personalities dating. She allegedly "set up" the two celebrities on a date.

For the better part of that year, Johansson and Jost maintained their silence. They never confirmed nor denied the dating rumors before the public. A year later, however, they made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War. This, then, confirmed the rumors that they are together.

In May 2019, the Ghost In The Shell star accepted her now-husband's marriage proposal. While they did not immediately share it with the public, Johansson's publicist confirmed the special milestone during the same month.
