Nearly a year has passed since Modern Family ended its course. Despite this, avid fans of the comedy series still rewatch some of the episodes every once in a while.

Cheat Sheet recently revisited one of Andy's earliest moments in the show, wherein he explained why he no longer wants to use his "manny" title. As fans would recall, he is a male nanny to Jay and Gloria Pritchett; hence, the title.

For the better part of Season 5, he refers to himself as "manny." He even explained the meaning of the title to some of the members of the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan.

In Season 6, however, he told Claire that he is "trying to get traction with 'bro-pair.'" The reason being is that Jay and Gloria's eldest son is named Manny. So, there is an apparent confusion inside the house when it comes to their names, causing him to change his title.

Adam DeVine first joined the cast of Modern Family in its fifth season. His character, Andy, immediately caught the attention of many fans and followers because he appears to have similarities with Phil Dunphy.

Amid working for the family, Andy eventually became close with some of the members. This includes Haley, whom he, later on, dated for a while after breaking up with his fiancé, Beth.

Many avid viewers of Modern Family quickly noticed the connection and chemistry between the two characters. However, the relationship did not last long as Andy had to leave town for his career.

Before leaving for Utah, though, Haley implied that Andy was the first man she ever loved. Even so, this did not stop the two from separating for good.

Eventually, the two characters met and dated other people. The eldest of the Dunphy siblings, later on, married her first boyfriend, Dylan, after learning about their pregnancy.

Several Modern Family fans did not like the idea of Haley getting back together nor marrying Dylan. Some publications even released articles, proving why Andy is the perfect fit for Sarah Hyland's character.

Buzzfeed listed nearly 20 reasons why she should have been with Adam DeVine's character. Apart from having perfect chemistry, Haley had great character development while dating Andy.

Despite having these bases, Screen Rant, later on, explained why Dylan is the right choice. As emphasized, there is history between him and Haley as they were high school sweethearts. Moreover, his character has always remained "devoted" to Hyland's role.
