The long wait is seemingly over as Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet arrives soon. After its year-long delay due to the pandemic crisis, fans and viewers may now need only a few weeks to witness the 24th film installment to the franchise.

Anime News Network, also, released an update about the material's latest announcement. As reported, the film obtained a "simultaneous release" in 22 different territories.

This is the first time that an installment gets to be premiered on the same day it drops in Japan in its 25-year course. As fans would recall, several avid viewers from overseas needed to wait months after the Japanese opening before they could see the material.

Outside Japan, the Asian countries and territories included in the premiere are Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and South Korea. Outside Asia, the film will, also, drop in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Lichtenstein, and Luxembourg.

Some fans from parts of the Middle East may witness the film, as well, on the same day. These countries include Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

Months before its official release this April, Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet already publicized its trailer. TOHO now offers the opening video of the film, featuring the voice actors. Moreover, the material is accessible in five different languages, which are Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese, and German.

Crunchyroll, later on, noted that the course of Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet takes place in Tokyo. The plot begins as WSG: World Sports Games, which is the world's largest sports festival, approaches its commencement date. But, before the actual opening, the prominent sponsors get kidnapped during a party.

Shuichi Akai, then, monitors the events leading to the unfortunate incident. Alongside him, the FBI, also, waits for his further instructions.

Meanwhile, "Conan finds a connection" between the recent kidnapping and a previous similar incident at the same event about 15 years ago. This consequently begs the question of whether the two abductions are just coincidences or not.

The entire franchise will, also, release a "compilation film," according to a separate report from Anime News Network. The material titled, Detective Conan: The Scarlet Alibi, will have its three-week limited theatrical run from February 11 to March 14 "in anticipation" of the upcoming 24th film installment.

It will center its plot on the Akai family, giving Shuichi Akai a clear background before The Scarlet Bullet arrives. The compilation movie will, also, feature footage from various episodes from the previous seasons of the anime.

Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet will premiere on April 16, a year after its supposed release date. Tomoka Nagaoka, who directed the Fist of Blue Sapphire installment, directed the latest addition to the franchise.
