K-pop sensation Suzy Bae (Bae Suji) is, reportedly, in talks to star in a new movie with Indian actor Ram Charan and the film will be directed by the famous S. Shankar.

According to reports, the highest-paid Telugu cinema actor will be working on a new political thriller with Shankar. Bae is said to be eyed to play the Charan's romantic partner in the Pan-Asian film.

Charan announced his project with Shankar in a post on Instagram a few weeks ago. The film has no title yet but plans have been hatched to release the film in three languages: Hindi, Tami and Telugu.

Producer Dil Jaru, under the Shri Venkateswara Creation banner, said that he's looking forward to the collaboration between two of India's biggest names in cinema. This movie is Charan's 15th and he will begin work after he is done filming Aacharya.

Bae's name came up after speculations stated that the movie will shift from Pan-Indian to Pan-Asian. Reports stated that it is Shankar who wants the actress to board the project.

This isn't the first time the K-pop star has been considered for a movie with Shankar. Bae was also, reportedly, his choice to star in Indian 2, a vigilante film. However, the role eventually went to Kajal Aggarwal but Shankar still wants Bae to have a cameo. The sequel will, reportedly, film in Taiwan.

Meanwhile, the actress' agency, Management Soop, has not commented on the recent reports. Casting for the new Telugu movie is still actively underway with some reports saying that Rashmika Mandanna is also being considered as the lead co-star.

Before doing films, Bae was part of the girl band Miss A and was only 15 when she made her debut on stage. In due time, Bae was dubbed South Korea's "First Love" and "CF Queen" by her fans after she became a popular movie star and a bankable endorser. The actress is the first South Korean star to be immortalized with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds.

Bae recently made international waves for her movie Start-Up, which is still streaming on Netflix. The movie is about aspiring tech entrepreneurs and young businessmen.

Rumors are also rife that Bae will be working on Vagabond season 2, which will build up the romance between her character and actor Lee Sueng-gi's character. Vagabond was a hit in 2019 and while South Korea rarely renews TV shows for season 2, there has been a clamor to expand this series' stories. SBS, however, is still mum on the said renewal.
