BLACKPINK's Rose is set to release her first solo project and confirmed the date in a teaser poster shared on the group's social media accounts. Her co-members have been supportive of this new chapter in Rose's career, as they eagerly re-shared the same post in their network.

According to Billboard, Rose's solo project outside of BLACKPINK is going to be out on March 12 but she's still keeping some surprises from her fans, such as the exact title of the project. Her followers, however, are trying to figure it out based on the teasers. So, far, they've made out words like "You Are Now" and "No Way Out" from the posters.

BLACKPINK's Lisa, Jisoo and Jennie reposted the poster and cheered on Rose for this new achievement. Lisa said that she cannot wait for the release while Jisoo said that she's glad it is finally happening. Jennie, on the other hand, simply added a fire emoji in her repost.

In December, the 24-year-old K-pop star hinted about her solo project to the Blicks, the K-pop group's legions of fans. A month later, her agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed that Rose has indeed been working on her solo album and was in the middle of completing the music videos.

The agency released a teaser of Rose's music video, where she was singing about lost love. Fans then learned that the title of this particular song was "Gone" and her agency said that her new solo album will be "completely different from BLACKPINK's music to date."

Rose, a New Zealand-born South Korean, signed up with YG Entertainment in 2012 to train for the girl group BLACKPINK. Noting her background, Rose said that she felt she won't be able to make it as a K-pop star but she had the support of her family to keep her going. She was the last member to be unveiled when the band finally made their first public appearance in 2016.

As a singer, Rose stood out and also became part of a few variety shows in South Korea. Even then, many insiders in the business have said that her voice is a lot different from the rest of the girls in BLACKPINK.

The talented star counts Tori Kelly as her music inspiration but she also bonded well with Selena Gomez and even considered doing a collaboration with her. In an interview with W Magazine, Rose said that they could not work and meet personally just yet because of the pandemic but she and Gomez has had a lot of video calls to discuss music.

Meanwhile, Rose is coming off from the success of BLACKPINK's full-length album release last October 2020, as part of their comeback. She said that they poured their heart and soul into this album, which was a follow-up to the band's first album from four years ago.
