Despite what might be happening between Prince William and Prince Harry, the brothers will show up together and become a united front when they reunite for Princess Diana's tribute.

Insiders claimed that William and Harry will likely set aside their differences when they mark their mother's 60th birthday in July. Plans have been laid out for the unveiling of Princess Diana's statue at the grounds of Kensington Palace and her sons are expected to be personally at the event.

The sources said that this will be an emotional reunion for William and Harry who have been struggling with a two-year-long rift. Though they are still on bad terms, especially after Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey, the two royals have committed to set aside their differences for this special event, according to the insider.

In August 2020, William and Harry issued a joint statement announcing this special tribute for their mother. They said that the statue would serve as an inspiration to those who visit Kensington Palace.

Princess Diana's statue was first commissioned before the 20th anniversary of her death in 2017. However, delays have unexpectedly pushed back the brothers' original plans to July 1, 2021, the Princess of Wales 60th birthday.

It comes as Vanity Fair reported that trust has become an issue between William and Harry. According to the news outlet, William is concerned that his conversations with his brother, as they try to patch their relationship, would become news items on television because Harry speaks about his life to friends like Gayle King and Oprah Winfrey, two of America's famous media personalities.

But Harry is also distrustful of William because of the way he and his wife, Meghan Markle, were treated during their time as working royals. The couple told Winfrey that they were set on a different standard as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They felt that royal courtiers loyal to William and his wife, Kate Middleton, were part to the leaks of negative stories about them in the British tabloid media.

Royal expert Penny Junor said that William is more upset that his wife had to be dragged into the controversial interview as Markle dug up a reported story from 2018 because she wanted to correct the mistaken report. Junor said that by saying her account of the misunderstanding between her and Kate, Meghan has cast her sister-in-law in a negative light and William felt that this was an attack on them.

Harry also told Winfrey that his brother is "trapped" in his status as the heir to the throne. An insider on William's side said that, on the contrary, the Duke of Cambridge doesn't feel trapped, rather, he is "bound by his duty" as the future monarch.
