Many anime fans are in celebration these days after the pilot season of Inuyasha's sequel concluded. As it happened, Viz Media immediately confirmed the green light for Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Season 2.

Comic Book Resources released a report on the matter, revealing some of the details about the show's upcoming installment. It is worth noting, however, that the information remains scarce.

The outlet said that Viz Media announced the renewal on the same day of the pilot season's conclusion. After airing Episode 24 titled "Sesshomaru's Daughter," the network took their good news to various social media channels, including Twitter, wherein they dropped the new title and poster for Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Season 2.

Comic Book released a copy of the poster, alongside the actual post on the social media platform. Based on the announcement, it shows that the second season will carry the title, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act.

The teaser material features Toga, seemingly hinting at the continuation of the pilot installment's course. The publication, also, noted that the poster "added some new elements to the ever-expanding mythos of the magical universe."

Despite revealing the poster and official title of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Season 2, the network and creators have yet to share the release date of the installment. The same is, also, true for the plot, storylines, voice cast members, and other relating details about the show.

Yashahime is a direct anime sequel to the popular series Inuyasha. Reports said that creator Rumiko Takahashi "shocked" the public upon announcing the plans for the franchise.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon follows the twin daughters of Sesshomaru, Inuyasha's half-brother. Towa and Setsuna got separated from their parents and each other during their younger years.

The twins grew up from two different eras and families. Years later, though, they reunite as the portal between the modern era and the Sengoku period gets reopened.

While Towa easily recognizes her twin, Setsuna does not seemingly have any recollection of what happened. They are, later on, joined by Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter, Moroha. The three of them embark on a journey to bring back Setsuna's memories.

While the excitement and hype were apparent before the premiere of the pilot season, several netizens shared their disappointments after witnessing the episodes. On Reddit, many Inuyasha fans explained their thoughts, noting that the whole course of Season 1 appears to have been filled with tons of fillers.

Accordingly, several individuals are now looking forward to seeing Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Season 2. It appears that many of them are expecting to finally uncover what happened to the three girls' parents.
