The long wait is over as SHINee has officially returned. It took more than two years and a half before fans and followers heard from the four K-Pop idols. But, 2021 is seemingly shaping its course to be the quartet's comeback year.
After dropping their first 2021 comeback album earlier in February, AllKpop reported that Allure magazine picked the K-Pop idols as the cover of their April issue. In the interview for the shoot, the artists never forgot to thank their avid fans for all the support.
The publication said that the South Korean celebrities focused on giving back to their fandom in one part of the engagement with the magazine. As it happened, they paid tribute to their supporters for not leaving them behind despite being out of the scene in the last two to three years.
The members of SHINee, then, described their fans as their "driving force." They explained that they were able to come back because of them, "who are always waiting" for their return.
The K-Pop idols continued that they want to "repay" their fandom back, considering the faith that they have given toward their group. The members, later on, added that they want to show gratitude, as well, for all the cheer and support.
Amid the interview, the members of SHINee, also, revealed that they are gearing up for their upcoming online concert, SHINee: SHINee WORLD. They said that they want to prepare everything so that the fans can "enjoy every moment" of the event.
Soompi reported that the virtual concert will take place on April 4 at 3 PM, KST. Fans and followers may access the special feature on Beyond LIVE, which is a new online performance platform from SM Entertainment and Naver.
Reports, later on, emphasized that the show will serve as the K-Pop group's first-ever online concert in over three years. As fans would recall, the quartet last held a public performance back in February 2018 for their tour in Japan.
Meanwhile, Kpop Starz released a report about the alleged second comeback of SHINee for this year. As claimed, the four-member K-Pop group will likely return for another album release next month.
No confirmations have been shared yet about the matter. SHINee and SM Entertainment have yet to drop formal statements about the assertions. But, sources said that the track collection will be a "repackaged" edition of their seventh album, Don't Call Me.
