Nearly a year has passed since NCT Dream dropped their Reload album. The group released the track collection almost two years after Mark "graduated" from the band.
Despite the success of the releases, a reorganization seemingly took place within the group's structure, bringing back the original septet. No official word has been shared yet about the matter but, SM Entertainment announced on Tuesday that the group will make a comeback in April, alongside Mark.
Soompi reported that this all came after SPOTV News released the claims on Tuesday. In response to the public's curiosity and interest, the label immediately confirmed the news, noting that NCT Dream is in the "final stages of preparation" for their comeback next month.
The same outlet continued that the unnamed track collection will serve as the group's first album since Reload. It will, also, mark their first release in more than two years since "We Go Up" and Mark's graduation.
Amid the pandemic, the K-Pop band reunited with the oldest member and have since planned to "carry out activities" in the same format as NCT U. While updates and details remained scarce at that time, the latest reports have now confirmed that the septet is here to stay for good.
Hello Kpop released a similar report regarding NCT Dream's comeback. Apart from the recent updates, the outlet, also, briefly explained what happened after Mark's graduation.
As noted, the subunit of NCT used to be the band's dedicated unit for teenagers. It originally had the graduation system, wherein members reaching the age of 20 would graduate and move forward to a different career path.
After Mark's movement, though, the agency appeared to have reorganized the existing structure and changed it into a "fixed member system." As a result, the six members welcomed back Mark and retained their group's name.
Before the release of their comeback album, NCT Dream will, also, headline the upcoming birthday celebration of Lazada. CNA Lifestyle said that the platform will throw a "Super Party" for the clients and consumers, offering them a virtual concert, live games, and even up to 90 percent off shopping deals.
Alongside the K-Pop group, Katy Perry will headline, as well, the celebration and "kick things off on Lazlive," the e-commerce platform's in-app live streaming channel. It will start on Friday at 9:30 PM, SGT.
It remains unclear, though, how long will NCT Dream make an appearance or what tracks they will perform. But, the publication said that there will be other local artists, as well, including Nathan Hartono and Jasmine Sokko.
