Four years have passed since fans last saw Kobayashi and her company on small screens. While the public thought of witnessing another round of adventures in the lives of the characters last 2019, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid 2 did not come to fruition. Two years later, though, the second season is now set in stone to premiere.

Ahead of its official premiere, a new promotional material dropped on various media channels earlier this week. Comic Book reported that the 30-second clip shows a "cool new look" at a fight between Iruru and Tohru, alongside some of the previously released teasers for the upcoming installment.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid 2, which carries the official title, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S will drop this July as part of this year's Summer anime schedule. The exact date remains undisclosed, though, but, it will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll in North, Central, and South America, Oceania, Africa, CIS, Europe, and the Middle East.

Based on the publicized synopsis, it states that the new season will feature a "strange turn of events" in the lives of Miss Kobayashi and Tohru. This, then, leads the latter to work for the protagonist as her maid again, while occasionally causing trouble.

The confirmation of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid 2's arrival this year first emerged last February. At that time, the initial trailer went public on several platforms, teasing what the series has to offer in its second and upcoming course.

A separate report from Comic Book previously said that the cast members from the pilot season are reprising their roles for the new installment. Tomomi Mineuchi, later on, joined the cast for Iruru's character.

As for the production staff, Sound! Euphonium director Tatsuya Ishihara has taken over the directing duties from the late Yasuhiro Takemoto. Meanwhile, Shoko Ochiai has worked on the role of art director after the late Mikiko Watanabe.

Fans and followers of both the manga and anime series obtained the initial confirmation of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid 2 last 2019. However, delays took place due to the unfortunate and tragic arson on Kyoto Animation's building.

Reports said that many people no longer thought of witnessing a new season after the tragedy. This is why it became a shock when the official trailer dropped earlier this year.

As the studio now moves forward, the production team is honoring those who lost their lives in the tragic event back in 2019. Publications said that these individuals will be "counted as part of the new staff" for the second season's episodes.
