The previous chapter showed the meeting of Teddy Nelner and the French kick-boxing mainstay Guil Lamele Banner. He then introduced Guil to Rin, who was happy to meet a man with a "good reputation."
Rin believed Guil would be a perfect part of her martial arts and watched his and Teddy's sparring. She noticed their incredible strengths and knew they could be on top of the Kengan Matches.
Teddy and Guil, on the other hand, started teasing each other. Teddy told the latter he invited him to talk to Rin, OtakuKart News noted.

Later, Kengan Association chose Akoya to fight the next battle, but Takeshi believed he wasn't the perfect fit. Kazuo then assured Takeshi of accepting Akoya as the next fighter, though he understood their worries.
Akoya was deemed dangerous and also the one who forced Murobouchi to leave the sport. Anyhow, Ohma couldn't help but think that Ohma made a mistake by choosing Akoya, but Kazuho explained to his fighters his reasons for picking him.
Murobouchi then revealed Akoya almost killed him. Until now, some doctors were looking after him, and he felt relieved knowing he was still alive.
He asked himself if Akoya should be part of their team, though he knew he could be an asset. Anyhow, Koga believed Murobouchi already forgave Akoya.
