Berry Good and JTG Entertainment denied all talks of disbandment earlier in March. But, the tone has since changed upon confirming the group's official exit on Wednesday.

Koreaboo said that the confirmation came in an announcement from the agency. In a lengthy post on Instagram and Twitter, they explained what happened, as well as their future plans.

JTG Entertainment said that they have recently acquired Star Weave Entertainment. Considering that two of the four members still have time in their contract, they, reportedly, discussed the "best possible outcome" for the K-Pop idols.

Johyun and Sehyung, the two remaining members of Berry Good, were supposed to join the recently acquired agency. But, the latter chose to no longer renew her contract and decided to end her links with the company. As a result, JTG Entertainment has decided to officially disband the K-Pop group and terminate their band's promotions.

Later in the post, the label expressed their "deepest gratitude" to the fans and supporters of the all-female group for "loving and cherishing" them over the years. They, also, urged the public to continue supporting the former members "as they go their separate ways."

Berry Good made a surprising comeback earlier in January. They released their fourth mini-album, Undying Love, as a quartet.

AllKpop said that the track collection officially premiered on January 19. It houses three songs, with "Time for Me" serving as the lead title.

Their 2021 comeback as a four-member group came after Taeha exited the label after her contract expired in 2019. Since the fifth member's departure, the group halted all promotions and activities until 2020.

In November, they introduced a new Berry Good group as a quartet. They released a new digital single, "Accio," which they, later on, included in the mini-album comeback.

The group debuted in 2014 under Asia Bridge Entertainment with the single "Love Letter." A year later, though, three of the five members left to continue their studies, causing the label to introduce new members.

Between 2015 to 2018, the K-Pop idols remained active in making and releasing music. Reports said that they did not have a "fixed image" as they tend to change their theme and dynamic in every music release they did.

After making a comeback with Undying Love, two of the remaining four members left after their contracts reached expiration. Since February, Johyun and Sehyung had been the only members left.
