Seven years have passed since 2AM last made a music release under JYP Entertainment. After leaving the agency in 2015, the four members went separate ways to focus on their respective careers. Despite this, though, the group has since maintained that they never disbanded.

Following the confirmations of their "brother group" 2PM's comeback this June, many are now wondering whether the four-member act will, also, do the same. As the speculations continue to develop, it appears that the K-Pop idols have now broken their silence.

Koreaboo said that the members' respective agencies recently verified the talks of a potential comeback for 2AM. Jo Kwon's, Seulong's, and Jiwoon's label reps released statements about the matter.

A spokesperson from Cube Entertainment, which is now the group leader's agency, told outlets that the "reunion is being reviewed positively." Mystic Story, which handles Jinwoon, and Jellyfish Entertainment for Seulong, echoed the statements, deeming that the idea of a comeback is a positive thing.

As for Changmin, he has yet to make a comment about the matter. But, the publication said that the K-Pop idol has been retweeting posts that are related to 2AM's comeback.

The members, themselves, however, have yet to share any details or information about their return to the K-Pop scene. Nevertheless, they are all, reportedly, active on their respective social media accounts, posting things about one another.

The quartet debuted in 2008 under JYP Entertainment, alongside 2PM. They released their first track, "This Song," and immediately attracted the attention of the public, according to The Korea Herald.

They, also, continued to gain audiences across the globe after releasing a series of hit titles. These include "One Spring Day," "I Was Wrong," "Never Let You Go," "What Should I Do?," and "You Wouldn't Answer My Calls."

2AM released its third studio album, Let's Talk, in 2014. It became their last music release, though, in the last seven years after three of the members left the agency due to the expiration of their contracts.

The talks of a potential reunion among the four members of 2AM have been circulating these past few years. It became more apparent in 2018 when some of them acknowledged that the group did not disband.

Despite the continued clamor for a comeback, the speculations only strengthened its stance when JYP Entertainment confirmed 2PM's comeback this JuneNME said that the label made an official announcement on Tuesday, adding that more information will emerge in the next few weeks.
