There's a new tip claiming GameStop will have its next PS5 restock on Tuesday (Mar. 8). It's been more than a month since the gaming shop took new orders for the in-demand next-generation system, but that appears to be changing. The retailer will replenish online on Tuesday (11 a.m. ET) and in-store on Friday, Mar. 11. Both restocks are only available to members.

Matt Swider of The Shortcut broke the news of the restock. Swider is one of the most trusted stock trackers in the game, with notoriously solid sources across major stores. Several GameStop sources have confirmed to him that an in-store release is just days away.

The console will only be available in a prebuilt bundle, as is customary with GameStop restocks, and you'll need to be a PowerUp Reward Pro member to get one. Swider has also revealed what would be included in the bundle this time, which includes both good and bad news.

The PS5 Disc console, Gran Turismo 7 (25th Anniversary Edition), Horizon Forbidden West (Limited Edition), PowerA PS5 DualSense Charging Station, PS4 HyperX Cloud Headset, and a $50 PlayStation Network gift card will reportedly cost $797 (a little more expensive than previous GameStop bundles) on Friday.

We don't yet know which stores will be participating in this restock, but we're hoping GameStop will provide that information soon. However, most stores can expect a lower refill than usual.

Swider has obtained information indicating that the shop is changing the way it handles stock distribution. GameStop appears to be spreading its PS5 stock more fairly among its many stores rather than dedicating large amounts of stock to a handful of flagship locations. This means that the majority of GameStop outlets will have between four and eight bundles available for purchase, which will almost certainly be snatched up soon.

This in-store restock will begin at each store's opening time (which might be as early as 8 a.m. local time) - but expect lines to form well in advance. If you don't want to be left empty-handed, stock up on coffee and get out early.

While some prior GameStop in-store restocks were open to the general public, this current restock will be restricted to PowerUp Reward Pro members alone. Make sure you're signed up now before it's too late. If you aren't a Pro member, you will most likely be unable to purchase a console during GameStop's upcoming PS5 restock.
