All eyes are now on "Demon Slayer" Season 3, but as it will take time before the new season comes out, meet one of its Hashiras, Sanemi Shinazugawa. After his unpleasant introduction to the anime series, why do many see the Wind Hashira as the worst?

The anime's fans may never forget how Sanemi treated Nezuko when she and her brother, Tanjiro, were brought to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. So ahead of "Demon Slayer" Season 3, get to know more of Sanemi and why he hates demons.

Though Sanemi is seen as a bad character, there is a reason why he is a Hashira. Despite what he did to Nezuko, he might have a reason for it and it might have something to do with his past.

As he always said, he hates the demons. Sportskeeda noted he had seven siblings, including Genya, with an abusive father. A creature entered their house and killed his five siblings.

To save Genya, who barely managed to escape, Sanemi bravely took the creature out of their house and killed it. Genya later learned the beast who killed his siblings was her mother, not knowing she turned into a demon.

He blamed Sanemi for her death, so the latter left the house and started killing demons after learning his blood was special-a high-quality Marechi blood. It could make demons drunk by its scent alone and from there, he met a Demon Slayer Corps member.

However, after they became close friends, this member was killed by a lower moon demon, leaving him grief-stricken once again. This might be why he hated demons and reacted that way when Nezuko was brought to the headquarters.

So despite the negative opinions about him, Sanemi remains one of the most powerful Hashiras and pillars of the group. Fans may change how they perceive him in "Demon Slayer" Season 3 forward.

Meanwhile, the new season will officially adapt the Swordsmith Village arc, covering Chapters 100 to 127 of the manga, per Games Radar. This may also be a 12-episode season, just like the Entertainment District arc.

Of course, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Nezuko will return, along with the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanoji. More Hashiras may also be seen, along with the members of the Twelve Upper Moons/Twelve Kibuki.

There are no words yet on when "Demon Slayer" Season 3 will be out, though many hope it will have a Spring, around April 2023, or Fall release, about September to October 2023.
