Victory Uchida drops major details about "Dragon Ball Super" Chapter 83 on the franchise's website by posting a video. Though it does not contain spoilers, it teases what fans are about to see in the new chapter.
"Dragon Ball Super" Chapter 83 will mostly center on flashbacks featuring Bardock and Gas. The wait will be finally over as the fight between these two will soon be seen.
Sportskeeda noted the announcement also comes with a sketch of Gas and Bardock's fight. It can be seen Gas is hitting Bardock with one of his conjured maces and this may be one of the next chapter's first panels.
But if there is one thing fans want to see, it is how Bardock manages to put Gas down. Bardock may have no intention to kill Fas, knowing his presence in the new "Dragon Ball Super" story.
So, there are theories he may have temporarily knocked him out or restrained him so that him, Monaito and Granolah have time to escape. "Dragon Ball Super" Chapter 83 will also show Bardock's strength.
Nobody knows how strong Bardock can be, though everyone seems to be aware Gas is yet to possess impressive strength back then. The OVA only shows Bardock fighting equally powerful opponents, so it is yet to be seen how strong he is.
In addition, there are assumptions this will be the last time Bardock will be seen in the canon. He may not return to life via the Dragon Balls if it happens.
Meanwhile, in "Dragon Ball Super" Chapter 82, Macki was surprised to see Gas' incredible speed as the latter flew toward them through space, per Anime News and Facts. Oatmeel started to play the Scouter's stored audio, while Monaito recognized Bardock's voice, telling him to escape with Granolah.
In the battle that occurred 40 years ago, Bardock told them to "stay alive." The words brought back memories as Goku remembered it was the same thing his mother, Gine, told him when they sent him away from Planet Vegeta before its destruction.
This memory rippled through Goku, resulting in a sharp, electric aura fired around him. The scene then went back to Bardock and Gas' fight.
Bardock unleashed a powerful punch against Gas. This made Gas realize his enemy was a powerful Saiyan, but he managed to block Bardock's hits and released a powerful energy sphere.
Bardock dodged it without sweat and revealed a heavy flow, making Gas crash into the forest floor below. Bardock then asked Monaito to get away, but Gas returned even before they could escape.
Gas aimed to finish the battle between them after Elec put his trust in him. What happens next can be seen when "Dragon Ball Super" Chapter 83 drops on April 20.
