Photos of BLACKPINK's Jennie and BTS's V are now circulating online, alluding they are now dating. This report comes on the heels of Human Chanel's alleged breakup with BIG BANG's G-Dragon.
Netizens are now investigating whether Jennie and V's snaps are real. Though some say it is fake, others believe it is true.
Jennie and V are allegedly seen together traveling to Jeju Island. As soon as their snaps hit the web, netizens debate over the photographs' authenticity.
AllKpop noted that some said those pictures were only edited and it was originally from a scene of V and J-Hope in "In the Scoop."
However, others claimed it was real due to their different outfits and Jennie even owned the sunglasses she was donning in the picture. Some stressed it was quite impossible to edit the reflection of their surrounding on her sunglasses.
Alternatively, V's hairstyle, sunglasses and clothes were said to be different from the ones he was wearing in his photo with J-Hope.
This is not the first time that Jennie and V have been surrounded by dating rumors. Last year, the four corners of the K-pop world were shaken when the BTS member followed the "SOLO" hitmaker on Instagram.
This even resulted in ARMYs attacking the BLACKPINK member, per EpicStream. Though some said they looked incredibly good together, a number of fans of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin and Jungkook's co-member seemed to hate the female idol and left several hate comments on her posts.
However, a netizen stressed that V was rude for following Jennie, knowing she was probably dating G-Dragon. Despite the noise about their alleged romance, the two have remained mum about it until today.
Also, not enough evidence will prove this malicious claim. Another rumor that Jennie is currently embroiled in is her alleged breakup with G-Dragon-though they have yet to confirm their romance, too.
Dispatch reported in February 2021 that they were a thing, proving it with some paparazzi pictures. However, YG Entertainment has yet to confirm or deny this allegation officially.
With that said, netizens assume they are indeed in a relationship after other publications also report the same claim.
However, on May 21, netizens revealed Jennie and G-Dragon had already parted ways. This reportedly stemmed from the BIG BANG's member's private account unfollowing Jennie's Instagram while still following other BLACKPINK members.
