Rolling Stone magazine teased a collaboration with BLACKPINK after posting a mysterious video featuring their names. Is this a hint at Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa's imminent return to the spotlight?

Rolling Stone dropped another teaser again to excite fans some more, showing a list of schedules in different cities around the world. As the magazine's director revealed this collaboration would be a big project, it looks like it would indeed be the case.

The teaser featured the cities of Los Angeles, New York, Seoul and Manila, among others. The so-called BLACKLINKxRollingStone would begin as soon as Monday, May 23.

AllKpop noted the link to the publication's virtual store was also added, hinting at a possible printed material that would hit the shelves. Does this mean the girls will be on the cover of the said magazine?

If this happens, BLACKPINK will make another milestone for being the first Asian girl group and third girl band to grace Rolling Stone's cover in the magazine's entire history. Only two of the iconic girl groups, Spice Girls and Destiny's Child, were seen on its cover in 1997 and 2001, respectively.

YG Entertainment announced Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa's return to the limelight after two years of hiatus. However, it has yet to reveal when it will officially happen.

So with Rolling Stone's hint, it looks like their return as a group will soon come. The magazine's journalists also described the collaboration as a "secret that was kept for months" and "something really big."

Its social media director also confirmed that the project would include a "whole week's worth of BLACKPINK content" that would highlight the scale of the work done.

Meanwhile, PinkVilla reported the possible comeback of K-Pop queens as early as July. Their return is estimated to happen in the third quarter of the year and they may continue their activities with a tour until the fourth quarter.

The girls last dropped "The ALBUM" in October 2020. Since then, they have been active doing their solo projects and making a name in the fashion world.

They continuously make appearances both locally and internationally. Though they have said time and over again that they will come back soon, it is yet to happen.

With that said, Yuanta Securities researcher Hyein Lee predicted they would make a comeback in the third quarter and hold a tour in the fourth quarter. Kiwoom Securities researcher Lee Nam Soo, in addition, said the group would make a direct contribution to this year's concert and MD performance with their comeback after two years.

So, Eugene Investment & Securities researcher Lee Hyun Ji believed the profits would show a noticeable improvement in earnings from the third quarter forward after BLACKPINK's return.
