BTS's V and BLACKPINK's Jennie are a hot topic today. After their alleged photo together started circulating online, alluding they are dating, entertainment reporter turned YouTuber Lee Jin Ho analyzed the truth about it.
Lee Jin Ho stressed a point about the dating rumors surrounding V and Jennie after the latter's alleged breakup with BIG BANG's G-Dragon. So, are they a thing or not?
The alleged couple was seen riding a car and traveling to Jeju Island. Their snap, which was yet to be proven real, was posted by a netizen online.
To address the issue, the social media personality posted a video titled "V and Jennie on a Date in Jeju...?" In the clip, via AllKpop, he stressed that there was something strange if the two were really dating.
He then talked about the Paradise Group founder's granddaughter, Jeon, who was once linked to the BTS member back in October last year. V attended the KIAP 2021 VVIP preview at COEX in Gangnam, where he was seen with the conglomerate's family.
He was also rumored to be dating Jeon at the time, though HYBE and V himself denied the claims. Lee Jin Ho then revealed that Jeon and Jennie are known to be best friends.
So, if Jennie and V are indeed dating and the rumors about the latter and Jeon are true, it means the BLACKPINK member is now dating her best friend's ex. "It has been less than a year since the last dating rumors," he said.
He added that YG Entertainment would usually release two statements if its talent got embroiled in dating rumors. If it claims the stories are not true, it will warn to take legal action, but if it is true, it will say it is its talents' personal life, so it has no way of knowing.
So, what do their agencies say about it? Soompi noted that when reached out for a response by news outlets, Jennie's agency, YG, just said it had "nothing to say" about the matter.
"We will inform you if we have a different response to share," it added. BigHit Music, alternatively, is yet to comment.
With that said, many netizens think V and Jennie are really dating. They stressed the two music labels are usually quick to deny dating rumors in the past.
But now, they seem to be mum about it. One netizen said on The Qoo that the rumors might be true if the agencies are not responding.
Some seem to celebrate the claims, congratulating them both and saying their visuals look crazy good together. Anyhow, some say they may only be friends riding a car together.
Whatever the case is, fans are hoping to hear the truth straight from V and Jennie themselves.
