Since Park Bo Gum signed with The Black Label, YG Entertainment's associate company, fans have wondered if he will soon debut as a singer. The company officially announced its new management contract with the actor on Monday, January 30, after the much-talked-about move.

The Black Label is known for being led by the producer Teddy, who's also behind a number of BLACKPINK's hit songs. Add to that Park Bo Gum's interest in singing, so will it be possible for him to launch as a singer?

An industry insider said, via AllKpop, that the 29-year-old is also seemingly serious about music, not only about acting. However, the label itself cleared that nothing had been discussed yet.

The first thing he will do under the company is to work on scriptwriter Lim Sang Choon's new drama project. The firm also revealed its plan to expand its business to manage its actors after signing the "Record of Youth" star.

The Black Label is known for being the house of some of the most famous South Korean artists, like Big Bang's Taeyang, Jeon Somi, and Zion. T, among others. By the looks of it, more artists will be in its arsenal besides Park Bo Gum.

Though he's yet officially to debut as a singer, he has already shown great singing talent with his solo album, drama OSTs, and remake tracks. He also enlisted in the navy military band during his military service. With this strong musical foundation, it may not be far that he may soon be launched as an official singer.

A YG Entertainment affiliate officially announced Park Bo Gum's decision to sign with The Black Label. Knowing the "Reply 1988" star possesses "a wide variety of charms and talents," the company planned to maximize its strength and know-how to help his career grow as an actor even more.

It promised to go all out to support Park Bo Gum in his future endeavors around the world. The "Encounter" star used to be under Blossom Entertainment but left in December 2022.

As a new The Black Label artist, Park Bo Gum will be seen working alongside IU in the new K-drama with a tentative title, "You Have Done Well." It will be written by Im Sang Choon, who's also behind some of the hit series "Fight for My Way" and "When the Camelia Blooms." It will also be directed by Kim Won Seok, who also did "Misaeng (Incomplete Life)," "Signal," and "My Sister."
